The Pearl of the Caribbean

became the first independent nation of Latin America and the Caribbean in 1804. African and Native Indian roots have blended to form a unique culture on the island. Haiti's traditional arts carry this heritage throughout its music, its colourful art and through the dedication and passion of its martial arts practitioners.

TAO develops martial arts
programs in Haiti to train instructors in the cities of Port au Prince and Limbe in the traditions of Hungkuen Kungfu and Muay Lao. After completing their training, the instructors transmit the arts within programs coupled with education, to encourage youth to apply the values of training to school and work.

Education Programs
are developed in partnership with Haitian institutions, for programs led by Haitian students of the capital to provincial cities. TAO Haiti also includes a soccer program and a handicrafts program for youth .
